Dynamic Pharma has made advanced medical technology from Olympus Medical Imaging Systems available for the first time in Cambodia by donating an integrated system that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) room to Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh.
Dynamic Pharma has announced a major donation to Calmette Hospital. This donation will make advanced technology accessible to patients for the first time in Cambodia. The donation consists of one state-of-the-art integrated system room, equipped with a full set of Olympus' most advanced medical imaging system model EVIS X1. These systems are exclusively distributed by Dynamic Pharma in Cambodia, marking it the first time such advanced medical technology has been available in the country.
This expansion will support the modernization of Calmette Hospital and greatly improve healthcare accessibility and medical options for Cambodian patients. The donated ERCP room features modular glass wall panels that offer improved hygienic qualities, greater aesthetic value, and superior durability compared to traditional materials. The specially tempered security glass is easy to clean and disinfect as well as more scratch-resistant than commonly used stainless steel surfaces. This new addition allows Calmette Hospital to provide a visually pleasing and soothing environment, as well as a functional workspace for the well-being of patients and clinicians.
ERCP is a medical procedure that uses endoscopy and X-ray technology to diagnose and treat problems in the bile ducts, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. It involves passing a camera-equipped tube through the mouth and into the digestive system. Once positioned properly, contrast media is injected to make these areas visible on X-rays. ERCP can diagnose conditions such as gallstones, tumours, infections, or blockages. It can also remove obstructions from the bile or pancreatic ducts. The physicians at Calmette will be able to explain the risks and benefits of ERCP and answer any questions that patients might have prior to the procedure.
The installation of this system is the first of its kind in Cambodia and will enable Calmette Hospital to improve outcomes for disorders of the stomach, colon, and oesophagus, as well as bronchial diseases. Calmette Hospital is committed to providing endoscopists with innovative and proven tools to improve patient outcomes. With the addition of these new facilities, the hospital is taking a significant step forward in elevating the standard of endoscopy and medical imaging technology available in Cambodia.
